Happy first day of fall friends! It had been a busy month but hoomans finally found time to put together the long due blog (ie. my first road trip to Colorado).
We got up around 4am on Friday morning and hit the road. Hoomans said I was a good boy in the car. I mostly nap and once in a while rested my face on the center console armrest. We made some quick stops along the way and finally arrived at Great Sand Dunes after about 11 hours of drive.
We then drove another 2 hours to stay at a pet friendly resort in Gunnison. The drive to Gunnison was absolutely beautiful! Check out the reel below posted on my fb page ⬇️
Meet Tyga’s first road trip compilation
On day two we woke up early and head to Blue Lakes Trail at San Juan Mountain. The ride to the trail head was absolutely beautiful. Hoomans didn’t know that the way up includes about 10 miles of dirt road. We were like the only ones that drove a sedan (Nissan Altima rental car) while everyone else had Four Runners or Jeep’s.
I got too excited to explore the trail, and since the trail was pretty steep and hoomans were pretty new to hiking we decided to go back down. A nice stranger recommended us to go to Telluride, which is a super dog friendly town (about an hour away from where we were) with free pet friendly gondola rides. 🚠
We had a lot of fun at Telluride. The view was breathtaking! Would 100% recommend y’all to visit someday, or if you’ve been there, let us know if you like the town.
